Were Toys ‘R Us Store Cards converted or upgraded into anything else?

I know the Toys ‘R Us Mastercard accounts were converted into a Synchrony Mastercard with 2% cashback. What happened to store card owners? I can't find a topic about the store cards, only the Mastercard edition. I'm mainly asking because I am curious about what I can anticipate if JCP shutters and the fate of my JCP Store Card. My JCP is my oldest so I would like to retain the account. Thanks.

Seems the SC were closed and the MC were converted.

Store cards = closed (I had one)

Terrible news. I was hoping credit eligible customers could qualify for a MC. Thanks for the info, I hope JCP doesn't go under.
