What CC pulls ONLY Experian?

Well,

I've been gardening for about a year now, and I'm buying a car.  While pulling my credit recently, I realized that Experian is by far my best... I don't know the score obviously, but it does not have a Tax Lien Public Record on it, while EQ/TU do.  They are both in the very high 690s.  I can only imagine my EX should be over 700.  I thought that Amex only pulled Experian... that's what every freaking thing on the internet said.  Well, I applied today, instantly declined because my TU score was too low.... Smiley Sad

Doesn't Amex usually just pull Experian?  What credit card companies ONLY pull experian as a general rule?

Thanks!

Re: What CC pulls ONLY Experian?

I've applied for two AmEx CC's in the past month and both pulls were on EX, I have no idea who else just pulls from EX.

Instantly approved for the Blue Cash 3/28/11 and Applied 4/28/11 for the Blue Cash Preferred and was told it was approved but sent to another dept for the CL, called the next day and was told my credit report was never pulled and the lady went ahead and pulled my report manually and was instantly approved and when I called back to find out my CL I was told you can't app for an AmEx CC within 90 days of each other, then I was told it was under review and to wait a few days??????????????????????? (thats the very short version of a very long story)

I asked the lady who pulled my EX report if my EX Fico was higher than a 710 and she said it was, and thats all she could say.

Best of Luck.

Re: What CC pulls ONLY Experian?

If the OP is buying a car, many auto dealers use TU.

I don't know if how prevalent this is, but when I bought a car (Audi/VW) a year ago, 3 different dealers all pulled TU.

Op  I know AMEX used to be exclusively  EX but these days they pull TU and sometimes  all three.  Where are you ? Your location  can give a clue as which bureaus ccc will pull.  I know   Citi does a lot of  EX and  BOFA  does a lot of EX  Chase  does for its  Southwest  and United cards  at least in Tx.

Did they pull your EX and your TU?  I thought I read that they pull EX first, and if you are borderline for their approval standards, they might pull TU and/or EQ.

Re: What CC pulls ONLY Experian?

About the only consistent EX puller I can think of is PSECU.  I've read many posts where people have tried to get them to pull something other than EX and they have refused.  Of course you'd have to go through the whole process of becoming a member and then applying for credit.  They have great rates on auto loans as well as a credit card.

EQ Fico 8 - 850
TU Fico 8 - 850
EX Fico 8 - 850

Read this thread to find how to become member.

The only problem with PSECU card is that its a NO rewards card.
