Re: What cc do you use for airfare

AMEX Schwab Platinum primarily, to burn off the $200 airline credit and 5x MR.

AMEX Hilton Aspire secondarily, to burn off the $250 airline credit. After it's burned off I switch to the Platinum.

(There's pretty easy tricks to turn the AMEX credit into airfare.)

I will probably assign one to Delta and one to Southwest. I have more credits and miles to burn off for Delta before 12/31/23 than Southwest so I will probably assign the Aspire to Southwest and the Platinum to Delta.

I'm hopeful that I will get a Southwest Chase Priority card with a good SUB in Q4 2023 to replenish the RR stocks; this card would be a keeper because I value $75 of Southwest travel + 7500 RR points + 4 upgraded boardings on every anniversary at more than the annual fee of $149. Depending on SUBs and earning going forward I may be able to do a fair amount of domestic travel with AMEX MR on Delta + RR and Chase UR on Southwest indefinitely just by paying for various cards (I'll need to figure out if I can make Chase and AMEX work together or who needs to drop). If that changes with increased annual fees or program devaluation I will go where the wind takes me.
