Go thru the EO.
PC is easy when going that route.

- 0 apps on any CRA?
- 3+ years with a card with 5K+ CL?
- Spotless payment history?
- AAoA over 4 years?
- 1% utilization?
- 760+ FICO?
Anybody know or care to guess?
Do you have Capital One currently?
Have you gone to Capitalone.com and ran pre-qual and not seen an offer come back?

Oh, I meant getting it from scratch by applying for it, not thru PC.

go check pre-qual on site and tell us what is offered to you.
Their definition of Excellent Credit is pretty forgiving:
I have never declared bankruptcy or defaulted on a loan. I have not been more than 60 days late on any credit card, medical bill, or loan in the last year.
And
I have had a loan or credit card for 3 years or more with a credit limit above $5,000
So even a 60 day late in the last 12 months can be OK, whereas I suspect most issuers don't consider that excellent. Also pretty sure there have been exceptions to the second clause too (although perhaps getting a CL under $5K)

I tried the Card Finder tool and rated my credit as excellent and cashback as my preferred benefit, and turns out I'm pre-qualified for the Quicksilver, VentureOne and Platinum Prestige. I tried it again, but this time I rated my credit as average and I got the same results.
Now, what do they mean by 'pre-qualified'?

Sounds like you have the green light to apply ![]()
If you are getting Congrats we found these offers for you then you are basically approved... just APPLY!
The Quicksilver is super easy to get.
