I guess at the moment my favorite card would be my Fidelity Visa Signature (2%) as its my every day card. However, I do put a lot through my Sams Club MC (5% gas) and my Marvel MC (3% Dining). All three are in my wallet.
I like my Discover It card it seems to be my go-to card, 1% cash back (5% on revolving categories), free Fico score monthly, and the CLI button has worked for me 3 times in the last 14 months, more than tripling my SL. They've been good to me so far ![]()

I have to pluck this quote out because I am seeing it over and over. Do people really have that much trouble with cards not working? I've had many different cards over time, Chase, BOA, Discover, Citi, US Bank, whoever, and none has ever been declined for any reason. So the whole "Capital One's cards work" thing could easily apply to any card I have because, well, they've always worked when I needed them to.
Sure maybe Capital One is less skittish than other lenders but these types of statements are what make people paranoid and make AA seem more common than it really is for the population. I'm not picking on you because it's a statement I see constantly, just observing that we shouldn't make AA sound more prevalent than it is.
Anyway, my favorite card is probably my BOA Cash Rewards, I bank with them so it's easy to track spending on the CC vs what I have in checking all in one place. Occasionally giving up small bits of rewards are worthwhile to me to have things under one roof.
I can attest that when the chips are down and times are rough, Capital One will not jack up your interest rate or slash your limit. No one expects things to go to crap, but it happens sometimes.
When I went through a tough time, although I had never missed a payment on any credit card. In fact, I paid most in full by the due date. BoA reduced my limit and raised my APR. Amex closed my account entirely. Capital One didn’t flinch.
I do not think my experience is unique. That is why you will hear this over and over again.

+1 Yes, I totally trust Cap One, I will always have one of their cards in my wallet.
Favorite card? When you only have 4 cards, not counting a business card, it is not easy to pick one. I have been using my PRG a lot but my favorite is CSP.

Which card is your favorite and why? Is it simply the design of the card, the reward opportunities, the elite aspect?
Just curious what everyone's fave is & why
I don't have many major cards, but I love my Freedom UL which is what I use on a daily basis. I also like my Amex BCE, but it take forever for things to post to my account, plus I'm not a fan of the plastic looking design lol

I like what they are going for with the clear card, but I think they could have done a little better job on the look of the clear.
It's a tie between Citi Anywhere Visa, Discover It and Amex BCE. I like their promotional offers. I charged my cards to take advantage of 0% interest.
