Hi All,
I was just paying my credit cards and comparing intrest rates & limits. Here is my list starting from the best.:
Wells Fargo 9 % 8000 limit. Just got the card
Capt one 16.40 % 500 limit 05
BOA 17.99% 2500 limit 05
HHB 19.99% 900 limit 06
Sams Club 22.15% 2000 limit 08 (for some strange reason I use this card the most)
I had another HHB with 14.74 % 950 limit but they dropped me for non use. I also got a offer from Discover for 11% with 15000 limit. I havent accepted it "yet".
My best is costco amex which has a 2k limit. My cap1 sucks cuz it's stuck at $750 limit. That's all I have.
My Capt one is also stuck. It started at $300 and went to 500. I tried to raise it but they said no. It is my 2nd card that I got when rebuilding so I guess it helped that way..
Junk
2 first primer cards 1 @ 9.9 250cl, other @ 19.99 350cl, why no clue
1 HHB 300cl @ 14.9
i gotta do better at some point just need to wait
For me I'm thinking it's my newest card, Discover More with $4k. I did just receive an AMEX gold which has no preset limit, but I'm thinking the Discover More will do more for me in the long run.
local CU 1000 @ 9.9 since 10-09
JCP 1800 since 12-09
Cap1 750 since 1-10
HSBC BB 800 since 10-07
HSBC Sears 300 since 2-08
gonna ask the CU for an increase since I topped 700 on my report this month
HSBC cards are going to be gone. Sears has never increased my limit and they both are upping their fees.
Lexus $8400 @ 13.99%. 1.5% rewards (5% for spending at dealers) is pretty good to have toward service I'm going to have to get anyway.
HSBC's been close to the default rate for years now at 27.99%, and no signs of a CLI either. I'd let the card die off if it weren't my oldest major card, so I just use it enough to keep it active.
JCP's my oldest by a long margin. Bumped my limit from $200 to $2400 a couple months back. In turn, they're receiving my business, at the expense of Kohl's. I'm not sure whether I'll keep Kohl's around or not. If I do, it's a waste to keep it in my wallet. Maybe keep it around for the occasional online purchase, but the $600 limit that's not going to grow much if at all is not particularly appealing.
