Capital One sends me 0% for 18 months with 2% transfer fee offers periodically on existing cards.
Since I get 1.5% and 2.0% back, I can write myself a check then use my cards and hold money for 18 months without paying interest or fees.

I thought it was advised to request no hassle checks for that. And that regular cap1 bt checks are not to be used to write to yourself...?

I have used the blank checks as well as requested no hassle checks and all went into my bank not a BT.
Works well especially for a big purchase (out of country vacation for us.)
I think it depends on your status just like the length and transfer fee.
I get 2% fee and 18 months 0% but have seen higher for shorter period of time.
What is really nice is that they tell you exactly what you need to pay each month to make sure your new purchases do not cost you any interest also.
Payments over the minimum monthly payment go towards to highest interest rate balances first.
Very happy with Cap One. Made well over $1000 last year without paying any interest just using my cards to pay for anything and everything.

No need to move. Anyone can join Space Age CU by becoming a volunteer member of the Rocky Mountain Road Runners (www.rmrr.org) for $10. Credit union will send you an application to sign during account opening process.
My lowest is capital one at 7.9% fixed, I got it <1yr out of Ch7 (acquired card in 2009 some time). It started as a Platinum card w/ $300 limit, limit increases $300-$500-$1000-$1500-$2500 (product change to a QS card) $3000-$3500-$4500-$5500 (just asked for another product change to Venture with out the annual fee...can't complain, they've been good to me too.

I just called Space Age CU to inquire about joining using the Rocky Mountain Road Runners membership eligibility option, but the CU said that they are no longer using that as valid criteria for persons joining the CU outside of Colorado
Sadly, they said they no longer accept any new CU memberships for people outside Colorado ![]()
