Got tired of juggling 5% rotators so I've simplified to just using 6 cash back cards for now.
Citi CC - 5% groceries, dining, or gas (currently dining, depends on Discover)
Discover - 5% rotating (currently groceries & Walmart)
Gemini - 4% gas, 3% dining, no FTF
Bofa CCR 1 - 4.5% online, 3% groceries & wholesale
Bofa CCR 2 - 4.5% home improvement & furnishings, 3% groceries & wholesale
BofA UCR - 2.25 % catch all
I've got about 3 other cash back cards on the chopping block for the next 12 months. Hoping to add Citi R+ next year to bump up my CCC to 5.55% and I'll be set. Wait, no.. I'll be set whenever I reach Platinum Honors with BofA lol. I do like how this cash back hobby and reaching that goal has influenced me to save/invest more than usual.
I carry on me:
Amex BCP - 6% groceries
USAA Cashback Rewards Plus - 5% gas
USBAR - 4.5% mobile wallet catch-all
USBGO - 4% dining (places that need a card)
Alliant Signature Visa - 2.5% catch-all
Wife carries BCP, USBAR, Alliant
Moving overseas, planning to use USBAR and Alliant as primary drivers
Not again......Why not "What is your reward setup?"
This is probably the 10th or more time with a CB setup thread.

What do you mean? I created this thread specifically for you.
BCP, Groceries (and all the stores there 😬), tolls, (audible, hopefully?).
CASH+ cell phone & I juggle between electronic and sports stores.
Discover: if it is a category I spend money on I use it. I'm maxing out gas.
Wells Fargo and Powercash rewards sees the rest usually.
i am carrying a lot of balance so I'm paying that off and being conservative with spending.

Tomorrow I will create a thread on the brand new topic "Why pay huge AF on Amex Charge cards when you can do cashback and use SYW?"
Carried: All
5% Grocery up to $500/month, then 3%
5% Gas
5% Utilities and cell phone
5% Amazon
3% Dining
3% Sams Club
3% PayPal
2% everything else in the US
1.5% on foreign purchases
13% to 20% Home Depot / Lowes / Autozone / Ebay / Kohls / Burger King / Pizzahut / others
27% to 29% Dominos / Steak N Shake
The majority of my CB setup would go by default on the combo of BOA CCR (5.2%, online shopping, plat honor) and USB AR (4.5% in-store). The online purchases may go on SYW, if receiving monthly large spending offers (~25% if targeted).
I have plenty of 2-2.6% cards for non-cateogry purchases (BOA UR, DC, BBC).
@redpatmight show us the way that we should pay large amount of AF in cash to Amex and still be able to beat the combination of CCR/AR/SYW . I have lots of SUB offers from Amex to apply for Plat/Gold and if the motivations can look promising and if no hardworking would be required (due to extensive coupon book), I may think about the MR ecosystem.

AA hotel bookings of 35% - 62%, 4.50% - 14% dining some stacked / AA dining, 10% - 30% shopping rakuten, AA, chase portals some stacking w/ simplymiles, Amex offers and chase offers, 23% on AA flights w/ current status. So, yes keeping within the AA miles, Amex MR and Chase UR ecosystems I can do better than CCR/AR/SYW. I may not have a grocery cat but I do make up for that in other areas. Gas is 4% ink+ and Shell AA combo (3 miles per gallon) biz expense.
We have a wedding this weekend hotel $323, 7,900 miles plus 10x Exec card 3,230 = 11,230 miles getting 1.77x right now $198/$323 = 61%. Would have booked for a free stay but almost EP status so w/ 30% bonus I'll pickup 10,270 LPs and 323 LP from Card spend. Worth paying for stay, IMO.
Coupon book isn't hard w/ $240 WSJ, $100 Saks, $200 FHR and $155 Walmart+ and maybe use $75 of the Uber credit $770 is that really extensive? So I'm plus $70, home airport has an escape lounge(only lounge) and I fly in and out of CLT, DEN, DFW and SFO. Not a lot of spend on plat, BRG gets the biz spend for my MRs.
This one is just for you pat.........
I went to Subway today. I used the app to get the BOGO footlong and to earn points. I paid with my Chase freedom for 5% this quarter + another 10% on top of that with the Chase offers. I used a survey code for a free drink. I brought my own chips (your favorite part). I picked two of the lower cost footlongs. I used $2 off with my previously accumulated points. I got the subs untoasted and I chose take-out (even though I ate there) so that I don't pay sales tax. I found a receipt in the trash and I submitted it for missing points (tokens). Oh, and I found a penny on the floor.
