What scores are needed to get American Express® Preferred Rewards Green Card

It is not for me. I am asking for a friend of mine. What scores are needed now a days to get American Express® Preferred Rewards Green Card? What are the easy to get Amex cards now a days?

Hard to answer since fico scores are used as well as an Amex internal score. Not many people have access to their EX score these days. Green charge and Delta revolving still seem to be the cards used the most for initial approvals. I have successfully apped for my 6th Amex card with EX frozen. They called me and asked me which bureau I would like them to pull once their attempt to pull EX failed. If your friend believes their TU or EQ score is higher than EX they may want to try this.

I was approved early on when all I had in my credit file was 6 months of perfect history, 0% util, 2-3 inquiries. Scores were probably in low 700's at the time. Basically, this card is perfect for someone who is starting out.

Not sure what they think about past delinquincies, but even if you are approved initially I can see them holding it against you in the future....
