Hey folks! Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday! I'm in the garden, but Lowes is in my "want" list baadd for 2015 or 2016 after my scores continue to improve, and my BK ages. I'm just curious if there is a "better time" than not to app for this card. Would spring time be better when the Warner weather hits and everyone runs to Home Depot or lowes to start projects or do things to their yard?? App before a major holiday? Is Christmas time a good time?? I'm just trying to think of a time that might also help me with an approval when I do app. I already will app in the store for sure. Thoughts?

Thanks Nixon, lol! You don't think that the underwriting department is a tiny bit more relaxed certain times of the year??
Not one bit.

Agree. I applied for mine in January (2011) which was neither warm nor Christmas-related and was approved for a high CL. So, the portion of "laxed" UW criteria due to seasonality is mostly theoretical.
Are you bored again with an itch?

Hi Fin!! I didn't know if there could be a better time than not, was just wondering, thanks for your input too!
As far as the itch goes... It's getting better, been in garden for 2 months now! Haven't tried apping for a new card at all!! Last one was early October for care credit which was approval, and then same time frame denied cli on navy. It's getting easier! My scores rose again this month both EQ and TU, (just a few points) so heading in the right direction! I take it day by day, and keep myself busy, try to think about the bigger pictureI still hit up Comenity an synch for cli, but its SP's
Good job
