Re: What to Do, What to Do?

Well your scores are actually pretty good.  Mine are actually lower 609 634 and 655.  I recently paid off my DiscoverCard in July or August which was never paid up since 1998.  It had a 1500 CL and the highest balance was over 4K.  I paid off everything I had in collections in 2005 including $13,000 that I owed on my car.  I received an application for an Orchard Bank Gold Mastercard in July of 2006.  The granted me a $300limit.  I ran it up every month and paid in full every month.  Sunday I pulled my credit again and my utilization looked bad so I started applying for credit cards that I got in the mail.  I was approved for a Cap 1 Platinum Visa, WAMU Platinum Visa (No APR UNTIL AUG.) and a Delta Skymiles Gold AMEX.

You should be fine!  Look at www.scorematch.com .  That website will assist you in finding the right card for you.

Good luck!

Re: What to Do, What to Do?

Interestingly enough, Cap1 sent me a pre approval in the mail today. O% for 12 months, but w/ an annual fee of $39. I'm not doing the annual fee thing. ? is, how does this affect my chances of approval for one of their rewards cards, instead of the offer they sent me?

Re: What to Do, What to Do?

Good news! Today, I received the BoA Gold Visa w/ a cl of $1500. Only problem is I app'd for the platinum plus. Is this normal? I suppose beggars cant be choosers. Any advice on how to go about getting a CLI at activation would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks for all the great advice, this is becoming so addictive! I'm now ready to go for my next card, but I might wait a few months... then again I might not. I'll be in the 700's across the board very soon.
