I have a capital one venture mastercard pcd from qs1 open since June 2014...I want a higher cl then 3000 but I think because it started off as an average credit card it won't grow anymore and it started at only 300$...........Any suggestions? Should I try for a new card altogether? I really do not want any new cards until I have 0 inqs in 2017.

Capital One is a strange beast... they allowed you a PC from a QS1 with humble beginnings to a Venture, but won't give you a CLI to get you beyond $3k.
In my case, I've got a QS1 that also has humble beginnings ($300) and I've worked it up to $3900, but I can't get a PC for anything ("...there are currently no offers available for this account"). Ironically, CLIs don't seem to be any problem (at least for the last year or so).
Back in the spring I got a QS Visa Signature with the intentions of closing the QS1 altogether, then they started the 'account combination' right before my newer card was old enough to be eligible... so I begrudgingly paid the AF once again. Just for 'grins' I tried to PC the QS1 a few days ago... and got the same reply as always.
It appears we are both destined to close/combine our QS1 cards, but for different reasons. For the life of me, I don't understand why Capital One prefers to have us open new accounts (and get the associated bonuses) rather than just simply change our existing accounts, but that seems to be the case.
