Which CC to app for with newly clean, thin file

Hi, all,

I've been working on repairing my credit and I've had a lot of success. With a paid fed tax lien and paid civil judgement, one secured CC and no debt, I was approved for a  $20K DCU auto loan at 2.49%, allowing me to ditch my 17% loan. DCU also offered me my first real CC in years, at $7500 limit. Wow. Now, the IRS has agreed to withdraw the lien. And the judgement was removed too. My scores currently hover around 680 (last time I checked before the judgement was deleted). Once the lien is off, I'm thinking of apping for a couple of other CCs to build my file. I'm thinking Cap One Venture (I travel a lot internationally) and either Chase Sapphire or Sapphire Plus. What are your thoughts on these two cards? I know Barclays World Arrival is probably equal to Venture -- or maybe a little better -- but I know Barclays is conservative and likes to see a longer history of revolving credit, which I don't have right now. And I'm considering CS instead of  CSP because I don't want several cards with AFs. Do you guys think I'd have a chance of getting approved for Venture and CS with my thin, new history? I have no idea what my scores will be with the lien off. If it helps, it was filed in 2010 and paid off in 2012. Thanks so much for your advice!

I think you will be good for both chase and cap1... I would take the csp at first for bonus then downgrade later if you don't want.

I fyou have a paid tax lien with an 680 credit score, it's a safe bet that you'll qualify for the most of the cards after the tax lien. I say go for it!!!! Just wait after it's removed off the report and apply away.
