Hey all, I have not been on the boards in a bit and go the itch to scroll and even maybe apply for a new card. I have a great relationship with Navy so I don't think approving is going to be a problem. My question is if I have the Cash Rewards card already and please see my line up in my siggy it is correct except I now also have a Hilton Honors AMEX. Looking for the card that would fill in any gaps I am missing. Thank you

For me, the Flagship is great. Since I have Amazon Prime and the Flagship covers that faithfully so far, it is a go to card. I have had it for years now and recently was able to combine limits to make it my largest CL by far. It seems to get all large purchases and more so now. To each their own of course.
I will likely always have my GoRewards as it is my oldest card. If you watch for "offers" that card can have some excellent deals. The Platinum seems great as a new card for balance transfers @ 0.99% interest with no fee. The Cash Back is a good card but I never used it due to having the Flagship. The DW had the AMEX but before combining that limit to her Flagship, is had been unused for 18 months.

The Flagship is good for travel.
The Platinum is good for cash advances and balance transfers.
The MORE Rewards AMEX is great for grocieries and dining 3% unlimited cash back.

Unless you travel a lot this is the correct answer.
For me, it's Flagship hands down. Great card, low annual fee and its a decent 2% card. It's my daily driver.
I'm not a fan of the Flagship because not only does it have a $50 minimum redemption, but you can only redeem your rewards for cashback in $50 increments. It only works if this is your daily driver or you constantly put a substantial amount of spend on it.
if I was you I would either:
if you're good with the miminium redeptions on the moreRewards and flagship, get the one you want, either 2%/3% travel or the 3% categories on the moreRewards, just know you can do better with other cards on those 3% categories if that's a consideration.
or
just get a second card that has a SUB you like/can afford only for SUB purposes
or
let your cashRewards get as high as you can to anchor your credit profile for higher credit lines in the future (the assumption being that navy will give you the highest TCL on one card)
or
maintain a modest CL on your cashRewards, so if you need a high limit platinum in the future, you can fire off that app knowing you'll have a generous SL
My vote would be for the Flagship card. You'd get 2% on everything, 3% on Travel, at least for year 1 you'd get an annual membership to Amazon Prime covered, and going forward you'd get your Global Entry/TSA PreCheck covered for you or another loved one. For me each year I quickly reach the $49 annual fee in cash back. I might would have said the More Rewards card if you didn't already have the Amex Blue Cash Preferred and Amex Gold but honestly the Flagship is my favorite card out of the 3 NFCU cards I have. I use it to pay all my bills that don't have better multipliers on my other cards. I think you will get great benefits from it too!
Flagship for me. $41K limit. Platinum is $39K limit. I'd roll platinum into Flagship but for the fact that I've had Platinum 10 years longer.
