Hello All,
I was interested in applying for the USAA World MasterCard and tried to find this information on their site but couldn't. Can anyone apply for a credit card with USAA or do you need to be a member? If you do need to be a member, do you need to belong to a specific organization?
Also, has anyone been recently approved for the card? If so, what was your FICO/util?
Any help is appreciated! Thank you!
as far as i know you can do your banking there. they have alot of stuff that is just for military only but i thinking banking is for every one
The USAA Financial Services arm is different than their insurance one; namely, anyone can get an account, loan, or credit card there. It is not restricted in the same way their insurance products are.

Thank you for the fast replies!
not everyone can apply for anycard, including the worlds mastercard.
there should only be about three cards which anyone can apply for
usaa mastercard
usaa visa
usaa military affiliate card
the usaa military affiliate card has 0% balance transfer for 12 months. the others.......maybe high credit limits but APR will be insane like 24%.
the rewards cards are for full members, not limited members like you and I. ive called them plenty times about this and thats what they keep telling me.
Anyone can open an account with this bank. If you have a military affiliation you will be considered a FULL member, otherwise you will be considered a partial member. There is no hard credit pull-inquiry to open an account. USAA is a bank and not a credit union. If you apply for any of their credit products, a hard pull-inquiry from Equifax will take place. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
Hope this helps!

Huh, I didn't know that, I remember looking at their various products and their corresponding agreements and never noticed that.
It doesn't matter in my case (mother was retired Air Force and my first insurance was through them... as will my next), but interesting none-the-less.

I thought partial members cannot get the Amex products?
