It was rent for me. I was a member for a couple months and it was with a green card. I also had a zync card. They accepted bank statements and 2 paystubs from me and the whole process took about a week.
10 month old Geen (at the time) - FR'd due to legal fees, so said the CSR.
wow this is kinda good because if this thread goes on long enough then we can have a collaboration of things not to do with amex unless you ready to be FRied

please not another thread about all the things you supposedly can't do with amex. It's just not that cut in dry.
I have used my card in a bar, paid my car payment, shopped at mcdonalds and walmart alike, I carry balances on some of my revolvers with amex. Knock on wood have not been FR'd but have seen a lot of CLD on revolvers. Listening to other people if any card was going to get FR, mine should have!
I would never not use a card because I was worried about it being closed or what not, why have it if you can't benefit the most from it.
yea i feel you. however, you did say you were cld so that is a for of adverse action so it helps too...thanks

2-3 years ago, I don't know anyone that was not CLD.... For years Amex had just been giving bigger and bigger CL's and more and more cards. I'm just happy they didn't close them, eventually I will be out of debt and not revolving balances with Amex and then I'm confident these cards with start to turn around and get CLI.
however it did sting going from 25k-500 on 1 card in one swift move!
wow...yea your right.... im happy they didnt close it either....
but 25k-500 is a dramatic performance from amex..smh
but they obviously want you to remain a customer

.
About a year ago I ran up $100k in charges across all my credit cards over the course of 4 weeks. The only response from amex was that all future charges on the gold card would fall into the pay in full category instead of the pay over time category. I wasn't FR'ed nor did I have any kind of cl decrease.
Wow, did you buy a car or something?
