Why does it take SO long to get the card?!

Applied on the 7th, just got the card in the mail today. should i request a product change now or can i activate then request product change later.

Actually, I would call and make sure it was sent because when I made the change the rep told me all was taken care of, but I never received the new card. So, after 3 weeks I called and the rep told me I should have received it by now and that she was sending one UPS and I'll have it the next day. It was delivered the next day by noon. So, I don't think the 1st rep actually entered the incorrect information for me to receive a new card.

When did you aly for express? They come really fast!! I think I got mine in like 4 days. Now tha's what I am talking about.

jaybee--I did the product change on Nov. 9th. I thought SURELY it would be here by now because they didn't have to go through the process of the new application stuff... I think if I do not get it by Friday I will call them to make sure it was sent... But then again, I applied for an Express store card the next day and I still have not gotten that, so who knows. I am just getting irritated because my Delta was unusable as of the 19th so now I don't have any AMEX to use. They should hurry it up... the longer I wait for my card, the less money they get for the holidays.

I would think they would overnight the darn thing in order to have it here by Black Friday. I guess I will be using my HSBC...

I know the feeling. I am waiting for my Amex Delta and counting minutes and days. Just can not wait till I get the card.

Woohoo got mine today!! I called activated and asked if it was possible for a cli, she said the standard policy was to make you wait 30 days and then she gave me the number for the cli people that I could call after 30, so no biggie ill just make multiple payments over the month. Crappy thing is that my statement date is the 25th of each month with the closing date of the 15th so ill have to get used to that.

I can't remember off the top of my head if Amex will let you choose your payment date/change your payment date- all you have to do is call and ask.

Lots of CC's will let you change your date-just can't remember if Amex does!

Yeah I dont know I dont think it will be a problem since I will be making payments all throughout the month. Its weird using a credit card for every day stuff. I remember I always used to look down on people for using credit for everything when I was the person running the register.

Does anybody knows how long does it take to get a card from NASA. I did not

apply for it yet. 10 days from now I am leaving for canada for a month.

Do you guys think i will get that card in the mail within 10 days or should

I wait till I come back and then apply?
