Yes wally world does use their own brew...but imho its closer to the tu 08...which op can get thru merrick

Whoah! That's good to know and thanks for the heads up. My Merrick Bank account gives me access to what they call a go score (mine is 629 though none of my actual FICO scores nor the average of all my scores is equal to 629) which they state is the FICO 8 bankcard score which... ??? I've never heard of yet it's the number they use to "manage my account"-- so clearly there's stuff I don't know. But I do know that older accounts with CL's affecting my reported utilization are only reflected on my TU report so regardless, it's gotta look better.

I'd get the util down on Merrick, let it update and then see if their CS pushes you to at least 640.

Tu 08 is also what wally world offers for free tho they may differ slightly

The tu 08 range is different from the tu fico found here...they ate both ficos but just use a different scoring algorithm

Yes I got quite the shock when I got my Walmart tu score, looks like there is still much work that needs to be done to fix my credit sadly.

good to know this as I got the Walmart Discover mainly to get the free FICO
