I've just had my notice through that my AF is due at the end of December for my Aviator Silver. Since I got my Prestige I haven't been using this card for general spend. I have a pretty good CL with the Aviator so I'm not sure whether to just close the account or try to PC it to something else?
I'm trying to cut down on the amount I spend on AFs. I just paid the PRG which I was borderline about but justified it as effectively being $95 and including the auto towing.
What options do I have for the Aviator?
OP Barclay's allowed me to quickly and easily PC my Aviator to the regular no AF Arrival World MC. My limit was and is $10k on the card. Should be no issue. GL to you!
They also have a no fee Aviator. I think it's the white card. Rewards are crap but you can keep it open. Call them up.
exactly, they have a white and blue aviator that is a non annual fee card or people seem to have a lot of sucess getting the Arrival MasterCard out of Barclays.
Keep in mind they are not issuing these cards anymore. So if you PC or close it you cannot get it anymore and will need to get the Citi one. I suggest downgrading it to the NO AF version and just hanging onto it in case down the road you want to upgrade and use it again.
I have the aviator red and i called about cancelling it earlier, they gave me retention offer of no AF for the next year. You can try if you still want to keep the card.

Thanks, I will try that, or at least see if they'll let me downgrade to the red, as after thinking about it I think it's worth paying the red's AF for the 10% of redeemed miles back.
