Will an AU with the same card number trigger a fraud alert?

Hello again. I got my CTYP and also applied an additional card for an AU. Accdg to the rep I spoke with, the card number will be the same as mine. I also travel a lot because of my job. Of course I will be informing Citi of my travel dates.

The question is: Should I be concern if both of us used it at the same time coming from different places ? Would it trigger a fraud alert and decline future charges?

Suonds like a question for Citi.  You can always call to notify them of your travel plans.

It shouldn't be an issue ~ although the account number is the same, each card has a unique CCID.

+1

The company already knows who's charging what card based on that information.

As of 2017, rebuilding...

Shouldn't be an issue for the reasons stated above. I've had AUs making purchases on the other side of the world within hours of me making purchases; just call your issuer ahead of time.

When Im traveling, I will call and let them know the AU will not be traveling. The other posters are correct and it shouldn't be a problem; I just rather be safe than sorry.

Re: Will an AU with the same card number trigger a fraud alert?

I just received the card for my AU and noticed that the card number and the numbers at the back are all the same as mine. Citi also sent me a new card which is exactly the same as the one they have sent before. Now I have 2 cards and my AU has 1 all with the same card infos.

Unless its an Amex, the card numbers would be the same.
