Will freezing reports block credit card CLIs?

So I'd really like to get CLIs on my credit cards.  I have a $500CL, $1000CL, $1200CL, and $1300CL.

So if I freeze my 3 reports will that prevent me from getting auto CLIs, or SP CLIs?  Will it stop myFICO from calculating my updated scores each month / time something happens?

Nope, I've managed to get a lot of CLI with reports frozen.  If I need to unfreeze one for any reason, I do it myself, I never give out my PIN to lenders.

If you already have a "relationship" with a creditor they have access through the freeze for CLI purposes. As for FICO I don't know.

Re: Will freezing reports block credit card CLIs?

All 3 bureaus are currently frozen for me.

Note:

1) I get auto as well as SP CLIs. I haven't tried HP CLIs; one of the reasons to get accounts frozen was to make sure no more HPs are added. When it comes to HPs from current lenders, I've heard contrasting views. Some say that current lenders can HP without asking you; others said that current lenders will ask you to remove the freeze before they do a HP.

2) I get my FICO scores from Barclays, Discover, and DCU. They offer periodic updates (Discover and DCU do monthly)

3) Some FAKO sites work properly, e.g. Credit Karma with both score as well as alerts. Credit Sesame could work for the alerts (i.e. when a CC reports) but cannot give me a score because EX is frozen.

4) If you did not opt out of prescreen, you'll continue to get pre-app mailers. I was opted out for some time. After opting in, I was getting awesome offers from Credit One Smiley Very Happy

5) I'm able to pull my report anytime.

6) If it's a new lender, even if they want to SP me, I need to unfreeze the report. I experienced this with NASA; they SPed me for the checking account, but they did need me to unfreeze my EX. I didn't apply for credit (yet, and not going to immediately), so I don't know if I apply for credit with them later, when my reports are frozen again, will they be able to get a full report.

Interesting, thank you for sharing!  So, every time you freeze one of your reports is $10?  Or is that only the first time?

Depending on the state, you may pay upto $10 when you order your first freeze, and then every time you want it lifted. Now unless you lift the freeze permanently, you won't have to put the freeze again. Temp lifts get closed again automatically.

Note that if you want a PIN for a specific lender (as against temp lifting your freeze for any generic lender for 7 / 15 / 30 days) you have to pay $12.

Also note that if TU is frozen and you're using Cap One Credit Tracker, it will say in a red banner that your report is frozen and you have been provided this report / score under permissible access as self (or something similar in spirit). Interestingly enough, CK doesn't say any of this on their website.

Also, Credit.com won't even let you access your EX account if it's frozen - I faced a flat-out denial of any kind of monitoring service.
