Worth calling to try for a CLI with a soft pull?

I looked at the CLI form for my Barclay Apple rewards card and the languaging describes a hard pull if I submit it.

Is it worth calling them to see if I could negotiate a CLI with a soft pull?

It is always worth calling but only for a soft pull.

You should check the Capital One site for the Credit Line Increase (CLI) button. If it is there you might get a decent increase now that you have an $8500 CL with Barclay. I get $1500-$3000 from Capital One every 6 months.

Good luck.

My Wallet - Cap1 Visa Signature $13k, Chase Saphire Prefered $13.5k, Well's Fargo Rewards $10k, Cap1 Quicksilver MC $6.5k, Cap1 Quicksilver V $4k, Chase Freedom $9k, Discover IT $7.5k, Amex BCE $34k, Amazon/Chase $2.5k,PenFed V $10.5k, Amex Green

I probably ought to try Cap One again myself...I still have one try left to go before the Credit Steps increase which I calculate will be next month after my 5th statement cuts.

I wouldn't lead with that. Ask if you have any special offers or a lower APR. If you do, you'll be transferred to the area that might have a soft CLI available for you.

The last time I called Barclay, the analyst herself told me that when I call next time, from main number, ask for an analyst/specialist that can help you lower your APR. Once you're connected then ask what kind of customer retention/offer they have for you. Ask if they have an APR reduction or a Soft Pull CLI offer in particular.
Best of luck!
