Re: Would Chase Freedom Approve?

Uh oh!  That's what I was afraid of. Hmm. My Credit score has increased beyond my imagination in just a short time. That's thanks to the things I've learned reading here. I guess I could wait. Just wanted to finish this apping up so that by summer all inqs would about six months old.  would like an auto loan  in July. Whatever I decide, thank you all so much for your input. Truly sincere in saying that this forum is great.

I'm sorry guys.  I don't like to be the party pooper LOL Smiley Happy  Good luck OP on whatever you decide.  While I don't think it is a slam dunk, I don't think it is an instant denial either.  It could go either way, honestly.  But if you get denied, don't forget to recon.  Your credit score is fabulous!  Once you gain a little more history on your cards, you will be golden!

Yeah, there is always a chance of denial. But I think the OP has a good chance. He may have to do a recon though, but I also think he has a good chance. But the limit could be low at the beginning. So maybe wait 3-4 months could put him in a better place.

I am going to play Devil's Advocate and say there is a possibility for denial because while his AAOA is 9 years, he only has two months history on all his credit cards max.. Chase likes to see at least one year of history on at least one card and OP is not there yet. My AAOA was 13 years when I applied and Chase approved me based on the 3 year credit history of my oldest card.

This is what I was thinking

Have you tried Chase's card selector thing to see if you're preapproved? It's the link that says "Your special offers" on the credit card page

Checked the offers site from Chase. Nada. guess that's a sign. gonna take the wait advice. Really, what's a few more months. Trying not to fall into the "want it all right now mentality." Thanks for all of the input.
