Received mailer, it says prequalified and signing bonus is different than the webpage, Earner Visa sig is 30k pts for 1k spend/90days, whereas mine is 7.5k pts for 500/90 days.
Otherwise same rewards structure including no FTF.
And APR is fixed, a horrendous 30.74% lol.
I've stayed on Wyndham properties and aside from hotel stays, best use will be 5x pts for gas(2x for dining and grocery).
Probably not gonna apply for it but curious, my first Barclays mailer and I apped for AA Aviator Red in January(for the easiest miles earn lol) and was declined.
Heard they pull TU and my sig is current, although Disco website says only 2 HPs, weird. Those were mostly CO ones, and Barclays did pull in January. That month was the last HP for TU methinks, for CO SO.
Any thoughts? I've browsed Wyndham/Barclay posts here and some got toy SLs lol. Thank you.
BarclayUS is mostly known for being a TU puller but it can vary, in part depending on which state you live in.
I would consider it a small win that BarclayUS would send you a targeted prequalifier as they have a track record of being pretty legit but with that watered down SUB and high APR I would suggest you pass on this one.
Now I wonder if I should've apped to 'get in' with Barclays, if I was approved even with a toy limit, would I have had better chance this time apping for Hawaiian? Something to think about, or is my file too young/thin anyway.

No, in my experience Barclays doesn't work that way. They hold it against you, inquiry-wise, that you recently applied for a new card, even if it's one of theirs.
IMHO they are a very creepy outfit.

Hmm, maybe I should've apped for Hawaiian first, then WF Bilt, but thought Bilt was trickier with an EX pull, so had no choice there. Frankly thought I had better odds with Barclays since it pulled TU, which has FAR fewer inquiries Oh well, not gonna app for Barclays any time soon I guess...the one denial among 5 apps this past 1.5 weeks!
