Yet another AMEX CLI timing question

So, I am a Costco TE cardholder (current CL = $18k) and I was approved for a BCE last week (SL = $10.8k).  At some point, I'd like to try for a CLI on the BCE (would like to get it to 25-30k), but the timing looks a little tricky since my last CLI on the Costco line was back in April, roughly 150 days back.  Is the old rule still in place that you have to wait 181 days between CLI requests across all of your cards?  Would that be superceded by the 61-day rule for new cards, such that I'd want to wait two months instead of one month to put in my request?  Or is it moot since I've seen so many people get approved CLI requests a week or so after apping their new card, in which case I should just put in the request when I receive and activate my new BCE?

Yes, it's still in place.

I thought so, thanks for clarifying.  Then, I should definitely let my BCE ride until I've hit the 181-day mark from my last Costco CLI, which will be in early October.  By then, the BCE will be a couple weeks shy of 61-days old, so would it be best to just wait it out til late October or take the swing at the 181 mark?

Re: Yet another AMEX CLI timing question

There is no 61-day rule anymore. And even that rule only applied for first Amex ever. So you have to choose any day from 181 and up to request your CLI. Good luck.
