You're Pre-Approved(The Platinum Card) Accept Now

I logged into my AMEX account.  A pre-approval popped up and says accept now.  Does it mean I'll get approved?  If I get the card, does it replace my Blue Cash card.  WIll my AAoA decrease?

It is also a $450 per year annual fee (first year is not waived IIRC).

I didn't hit the button for the card.  I don't like AF's.  I hit the  line of credit increase button instead and got approved instantly.

Di if they approved you for the Platinum chances are you would get approved for another charge card. You could go for the Green then switch into another card just before the fee would kick in next year. Might be worth a shot. Seems like they want to give you more credit.

I bet they would have given you a bunch more. From what I am reading lately it seems AMEX is starting to loosen up the purse strings. Congrats on the CLI.
