See, I didn't care about EQ, and I was willing to take a hit on EX - I just didn't want my TU report pulled since I was trying to minimize inquiry damage for when I try to go for an auto loan from NFCU But it's my bad for not realizing my report was still unfrozen yesterday.

Oh well! At least the second CSR was less Peggy, he was probably the least Peggy rep I've dealt with on Amex's end so far.

Yeah I'm not sure why they're rush delivering it. I didn't request it - he just said they were going to. Not going to complain!

Maybe I can have the card by the weekend, try to buy lunch on it and get FRed.

I keep hearing that their reps are supposed to be nice, but all I've dealt with so far have been the new card/application people, and it's been really, really Peggy.

Discover, on the other hand, has been amazing.

Yep i agree discover is amazing they try there best to get you approved on the other hand American Express doesnt give a crap they just deny you.

I think its after you get the card the reps start becomming better. When 'in progress' for platinum I never got anyone from America. After platinum, I get an American within 3 rings. No script reading or anything. All concerns have been taken care of in under 3 min.

Congrats! It sucks that you had 2 HP, but at least you got an Amex out of it. I don't think the TU inq is going to hurt you with a NFCU auto loan. And they'll see the CC on your report, so it won't look like you were declined. You're really doing great! I hope by summer, I'll be catching up to you.
