app spree Barclays recon success

Hi tquint14,

I took the liberty of doing some light editing on your post. From what I understand it's not possible (or very hard) to do certain editing on an iPad/iPhone.

28 mos post chp 7 Ex 640 ( credit union oct 2011) Tu 629 Eq 657 First went to walmart been wanting this card as a possible way to earn my trust with GE and hope yhat the card will grow. Had been declined for this card a year ago even having a higher TU score, pulled the trigger n was approved for $500. I did not include them as a creditor with the bk, but for some reason was denied before.

This time i appd at the store n got immediate approval. Cashier asks u to swipe a current credit card i swiped my discover ( who knows if this helped lol). Ill take the $500 use and pay in full since we do shop at wally world n wait out the 4 mos. Next i thought " since i already used an inq" i headed over to the apple store. Ive heard barclays doesnt like recent credit/inq (4 in tu). Went and applied at the store, i was asked if approved would i buy the merchandise today- said yes.

I guess this is asked due to a different application..well was denied AGAIN!. i had beed denied twice before due to not enough new credit after chp 7. Since then i have established 2 adl credit lines no lates. Kid at the store was like " sorry u were declined u will recieve a letter". I told i was gonna call to recon, he had never heard of this before...few questions later with a very nice credit analyst and he approved me for $1500. Was asked for my income, why the bk , went over my report and gave me kudos. Main thing imo that might have helped me was that i told him i was standing outside the store hoping i could take my mcbook home today.

He asked for the purchase amt, i told him should b abt $1300 and very nicely he asked if he could place me on hold for a few mins to "do what i can to have u take ur laptop today"..1min later and he approved me for $1500. Ill take that as a start and hope to go from there. 3rd n last..Jared. i actually did wanna get this card since was on the market for a nice time piece. Walked in told rep i wanted to apply n that in the past we used to have their card. Didnt ask me for an amt only knew that i was looking at a $400 watch and wolla! came back from desk and said " we got u back up with a $10k limit" ..wow!

My highest card n ill take that as avail credit even though i dont see me spending more than $800 with them. Came home told wife the news and she reminded me that the card we had n closed on good terms was actually under her name n i was never auth on the card..strange i got such a huge limit. I assume the pulled EQ since its what sterling bank usually pulls n its my strongest. Just hope it will report as $10k card n reflect the correct bal monthly. I cant remember how they reported in the past. Now im done n def gardening. Thought id pass it along with u all folks

Re: app spree Barclays recon success

It's kind of a pain. When I use my ipad here, I have to use the html code "<br/>" to make a line break and I use it twice "<br/><br/>" to add a line between paragraphs (without the quotes -- I added the quote here to be sure the code would show up instead of adding a line!).

Also, the smiley faces don't show, so I can only use basics, like colon and ) or colon and D for a big smile. Smiley Wink

Edits, funky spacing and spelling due to my iPad not getting along with the forum editor!

Bichon that's good to know. I used to write HTML some time ago. Didn't think it would wok on the Safari browser
