Still don't believe I've used a single WMC benefit.
Me neither but I like how it says "World" on it.
(I will probably never use any WMC benefits!)
The WMC benefits on this card are a joke, so not missing out if you don't have it.
Can't even go $1 over the "NPSL" limt. Mastercard's "benefits" are also scammy at best if you try to make a claim. Too many gotchas compared to Amex.

I .... third that. The only benefits I have ever used were from Visa Signature Hotels; just love booking through them
as far as my understanding goes
people get approved in year of 2013 will get plat, and people get approved since 2015 will get WMC even with CL of $1000.
don't know about people applied in 2014

I actually got mine in 2014.
I have a CL in the 5 figures, opened 2014, Platinum. My wife has a 3200 CL, opened later in 2014, World. My scores are much higher than hers.
No difference in actually using the card though.

and i do understand you can get a World Elite MasterCard as well... i just mean are the at MINIMAL a world mastercard
Not true ... Barclays does not issue Sallie Mae Master Cards as a World Elite Master Card only as World or Platinum. They used to be sticklers on if the system doesn't approve you for a $5K CL in the start you got a Platinum and no up grades even when the CL exceeded the $5K standard. Seems they have flexed on the starting CL. This card is for college students ... hmm, oh well.
