What are the best credit card and checking account combinations ? I’ve head that with a chase freedom and chase checking account, you can earn 10% annual bonus at the end of the year. Are there any other good credit card combinations where the checking account can give some benefit to your spending ?
It depends on what you're looking for.
For example, I have multiple CC / checking account combinations where I can easily pay the CC from the checking account, use the CC as overdraft protection for the checking account without fees, or take a no-fee cash advance from my CC into my checking account.
In my experience this sort of tight integration is a big win.
BofA has some bonuses for redeeming cash rewards into a BoA checking account.
I belong to our local credit union and I have preferred checking, savings, 5k credit card, auto snd mortgage . And all payments are automatic through checking but what I like is the more accounts I hsve the more money I earn and save. Im on there gold level so I earn .5% more on everything cds savings etc. And I pay .5% less on any auto and home rates . So perks are great.

+1. I have pretty much the same setup at my local credit union as well, minus the mortage and car loan. I find that often times, they'll typically, but not always, give you better perks for an all around banking relationship. Check out local banks and credit unions in your area as well. Most will somehow reward you for having different types of loan and bank products with them.
I used to be with boa and other local banks but since I been with a credit union I feel more then a number and in my opinion your credit score is only half of what counts in determing credit choices giving to someone.

You are right about the Chase Freedom and Chase checking account combination. What is even better is if you have the Sapphire Preferred to go along with it, that way you can combine all of your points. A great time to utilize it is, for example, dining out. Freedom runs a 5% category for a few months every year on restaurants. Use the Freedom card for dining out (to get 5% back) during that time and when the category changes, shift all your dining out spending on the Sapphire Preferred to get 2x the points (essentially 2% back). At the end of the year, you get a 7% bonus of the points earned on Sapphire Preferred and with the Chase Freedom and checking combo, you get a 10% bonus on points earned on Freedom.
Chase Freedom + Chase Sapphire Preferred + Chase Checking = AWESOMENESS.
Chase (ur points) or Citibank (TYP) both offer the same type of point programs if you have checking/savings + direct deposit. I just got another offer from Chase ($300) to switch over to them.
