Just got approved for this card, its just a $300 limit, better than nothing. The funny thing is that I had a orchard bank card go default on me 3 years ago and it was completely charged off on the HSBC side, i know this becuase i called to try to work out a payment plan. Since this has happened 3 years ago, i have applied for and received a $1000 boa secured card, macys card at $400 limit, and a car loan. I thought i could never get back in with hsbc, but i was wrong. I tried the pre-approval link from this site and was pre-approved, and i went for it. Card should be in the mail soon.

That's awesome. I defaulted on my Nautilus account which was through HSBC Nevada. It was sold to a collection agency, which I had just settled with the CA in December. I noticed my original tradeline, although only had been opened since 2006 (few years), disappeared off my EQ report same time I had applied and was approved with HSBC Orchard. Don't know my limit yet, waiting on the card in the mail. Good luck for the both of us!

Leah, did you get the best buy card with your current scores?  I'm just a tad above at 610 and am looking at ways to improve my credit.  Did you have any collections or bad accounts on your report when you got approved?

No I never had the Best Buy card. I had a Bowflex account through HSBC and the original tradeline just disappeared off my credit report after I settled with the CA. The CA is still on there. But after the original tradeline disappeared, I was approved for the HSBC Orchard. The rebuilder card.

I wish I had a Best Buy card! I'd be good and PIF! I'm too scared to apply with them now. My husband applied with no recent baddies on his report (all older than 4.5 years) and a 660 credit score but was declined last summer.

my equifax was 622 when I applied and the only negative item was hsbc orchard card from 3 years ago....
