Re: boa cli response...

When was last time?

Doesn't necessarily mean a decline, but keep in mind CLIs with BOA are usually instant. I would call in and speak to an analyst. I personally have found this to be beneficial. Of course, YMMV and the increase will depend on your personal factors.

Re: boa cli response...

The last one was somewhere between June 26th and July 26th... you really think it would help to call?

That's too soon. What was the initial limit and how much did they bump you up last time?

I can see why you jumped on the CLI button. Have you been using the card a lot and paying in full every month? It is getting a little tighter out there little by little. Maybe they want to see another six months history. When did you get the card originally?

I agree with smallfry, it probably is too soon. Although, I've had as many as 3 CLIs with BOA within a few month time frame. However, I have a long history with them and I PIF. It definitely doesn't hurt to wait a few more months but yes, I would call.

Re: boa cli response...

I applied for CLI on both of my BOA cards last week. One request has a message like this:  If we approve your CLI it will show up on your account within 24 hours (and it did). The other had that 5-7 day message and it was a decline.

Most people say they like to see a lot of usage and it is best if your intention is growing your credit limit to pay in full. I would say the most recent response likely would be a decline. The only action they have seen is a BT and some smallish payments from you? I would say you have done extremely well with them under those circumstances. It won't hurt to recon if you do get a decline though. If you are not successful on recon I would avoid the CLI button for 6 months.

This is getting to be a dangerous climate for those trying to grow limits. Some have had their lines decreased. Careful out there.
