bofa au question

how long does it usually take for a credit card to start reporting to all three credits ive had a bofa as an au for two months and nothing is showing on my report yet my wife has the same as an au  and it reported the first month she was on could it be due to her father putting us as au  that it is easier for the transunion, equifax and experian to  connect the two  or is there any other explanation.  i have no revolving accounts and this card has been opened since 1998  with only 300.00 dollars owed in a 30,000.00 limit so i know it will help my score any suggestions should i contact someone and try and fix the problem i called bofa and they said they do report and all the dredit companies said that it is bofas resposiblity  to  report not theres thanks in advance

Re: bofa au question

So sorry, I missed this first time through.

I went on as AU on my daughter's BofA card last summer, and it was immediate. The card reported, complete with CL and balance, the next day on EX and within the week for EQ and TU. When I came off of it (she had been out of the country), it took until the next statement dropped for it to come off my reports.

Either they have something wrong, so that the info doesn't transmit to your reports, or BofA has stopped reporting AU's. I would call and investigate. The first CSR you get probably won't know the answer, so just politely keep going until you find someone who can check your file and see what the hang-up is.
* Credit is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master. * Who's the boss --you or your credit?
