credit cards.

how much does your fico score have to be at to obtain a 2,000.oo credit card?? and do the credit/banks etc look at fico only..or all three major credit bureaus as well???..      how about if you apply through the my Fico .com site...  Is this the only score they will be looking at???

There are 3 FICO scores, one from each of the major bureaus.  You can buy the Equifax FICO score and Transunion FICO score here at myFico.  The last FICO score - Experian's - can't be purchased by us as consumers.  Only lenders can purchase that one.  Most credit card companies will pick one of those three to check when you apply.  There's more to the credit limit they give you than the score.  They like to see the income to support it and they like to see other credit lines were handled well. 

 

Some useful websites are www.whogavemecredit.com.  You can search by score or by credit card to see what people are getting with their scores.  You could also try Bank of America's preapproval page to see what they will give you.  They seem to be a good company to grow with.
