discover more front hologram

i don't know why, but some discover more cards have holographic design on the front, and most do not, such as my card does not. i am wondering why this is like this?

I noticed that too.  Also, the 'DISCOVER' on the front used to be holographic and now it is just standard.  I wonder why they changed that.  It made the card look nicer!

I have several duplicate cards. Some have the printed discover hologram, and some don't. But does your card have the hologram icon stamp on the front?

My first card issued back in 2008 did, however all others do not
