A while back a few folks suggested I look at the Ebates Visa (since Synchrony seems to like my profile) and I did, but I just don't think it would work for me either.
Just like you, I found that for the stores I shop at I already have better options, usually Discover with their 'Discover Deals' which works similarly to Ebates (with both you go to the store's site using a 'portal'). I've used Discover Deals a few times and so far it's always worked seamlessly, which is definitely not the experience of many Ebates users on here.
I'm not saying Ebates is 'bad' - many folks have found it quite lucrative - but my online shopping is limited anyway, and the stores I tend to shop at are already on 'Discover Deals' so there's really no need (in my case).
