error reporting derogs

I have had several Macy's accounts in the last 14 years.  Most are listed on my CRs as either closed or inactive with all having $0 balance.  The oldest account has some strange entries in the payment history.

EQ - 30 days late, Dec. 2005, Nov. 2005, Nov. 2005 (why is Nov. listed twice)
TU - 30 days late, Nov. 2005
EX - 30 days late, 3 times, Dec. 2005 (how can you be late 3 times in the same month?)

I know I was most likely late one month as this entry occurred during the worst financial times we had to deal with.  In order to fix this should I dispute it with the CRA's or send a GW letter to Macy's?  Thanks for your advice!

Is this from a MyFICO report?  I had the same issue on an account that showed my late payment history as Nov, Nov when it was really Nov, Oct.

This seems to be a bug with the MyFICO reports.  My CRs directly from the CRAs had the correct information.

There's nothing really to dispute since it's not your report that's inacurrate; it's just MyFICO not displaying it accurately.

Re: error reporting derogs

Yes, this is from myfico.  I'm thinking about sending Macy's a GW letter as I've been a customer a long time.  Everything crashed and burned at our house late 2005 and early 2006.  We will soon graduate from a DMP.  My Macy's account is about the only one I'd like to reopen if possible.  It's convenient as long as you can keep a low balance.  Do you think it would be worth a try?  Thanks

The worst they can do is say no.

Give it a shot.
