Thank you Aim_High - I don't doubt this will help more than a few people avoid the trap of falling for a subpar gas card. Please keep doing what you do, it always sheds some good light on a subject
Thank you for the kind words and support, my friend @Anonymous ! ![]()

Sometimes the cards can have "other" value.
I keep one co-branded Gas card.
Just received the email 8/10/20
10% rebates non fuel , for up to $1200 spend per year .
Nice find, @M_Smart007.
Is this a regular offering or is this a one-off for Shell?

My go-to gas card is my Citibank Costco-Visa. Costco gives me highly competitive rates on gas so I buy there when I can, but the card earns 4% anywhere you buy gas on the first $7K annually. I like my Costco card a lot, but I would have a Costco membership anyway. (You must be a Costco member to get this card.) The main downside to it is that the rewards are given annually in a check form that has to be cashed inside Costco.
@Aim_High As always a thorough review, I'm totally with you on the Costco Anywhere. I'm currently using the PenFed Plat Rewards only because I didn't realize initially it was purely rewards without a cashback option. Because of the $.85 point valuation, I have to work up to 5800 or so points to get a $50 Visa gift card, then after that I'm gonna SD it. Will just go back to the Costco card and utilitze rotators when they come around. Gonna try for 0/12 clean slate and apply for the Nusenda Plat Cash as my next card, which will slot in nicely with Disco and Freedom, Costco will fill in for a quarter.
Thanks @PullingMeSoftly! I forgot about the Nusenda CU Platinum Cash card. I think I had heard about it before. I may go back and edit my previous posting to add it to my list! So there are actually quite a few rotating category cards counting that one, plus the Chase Freedom, Discover It, US Bank Cash + (if you count it per @M_Smart007 lol), and ABOC Mastercard.
Is Nusenda geofenced or can anyone apply? I couldn't see any field of membership description on their website.
That will make a nice rotating gas card lineup for you! ![]()
