After logging in, click on the Account Services link. On the Account Services page, under the Consumer & Mortgage Loans heading, click the Check Status of Pending Loan Application link. That will take you to the Consumer Loan and Credit Card Application Message Center, which should display the status of any recent loan applications. If you click on the confirmation number of an application, it will take you to a list of all messages sent from NFCU regarding that application. Additionally, you may send a secure message to NFCU about the application.
Edit: If I recall correctly, there should be an automated email from NFCU sent out when they make a decision (which contains a link to a separate login page that will take you directly to the Application Message Center).
