i want to get the macys store card and i was wondering if the do a hard inquiry and im in ny do u know which credit report they pull

Yes, new credit almost always demands a hard inq. Macys is not the exception.

Ditto to the EX. They are a great card to have and generous with CLIs. If you get approved, and you are looking for another store card, try Bloomingdales as they are the same (backers).

I was approved for a Macy's card in late, late November or very early December. My FICO scores at the time: TU: 648; EXP: 642; EQ: 643. They initially approved me for $300, but talked them into an immediate $300 cli.

What have others experienced(scorewise) when applying for the Macy's store card when they were approved?

i didnt get an instant approval... all they said is that i will get a letter in 7 to 10 business days.. they would not tell me if im approve are not.. i know i will not be.

Think positive, 83. Your EX is, I think, sufficient for Macys.

I think that your Ex is high enough for approval, as long as there are no recent negatives reporting.

How does your Ex report look?

I would suggest calling Macy's to see if they're doing a manual review. Perhaps calling will help if they have questions regarding anything on your report.
