Re: new to the forum, care to help out with advice?

You were denied by chase with a 700+ score? On their Amazon card?! I think it's their easiest card to get. but we really can't tell you what you need since only you really know that. I like hotel cards cause I'm planning a vacation in a few months so what works for me, might not work for you.

But I'd add a 2% CB card! Citi D.C, Blispay, Fidelity/Elan...

Re: new to the forum, care to help out with advice?

Honestly, it doesn't sound like the OP "needs" another card as he's made it pretty clear he just wants one.  The biggest factor he suggested was at play as to which card to get was the material it was made out of and how it looked which aren't reasons to get a card when it comes down to it.  Also the OP stated that he just got a card a week ago but is "itching" to get another.  It sounds to me like this could be a disaster waiting to happen; you may start applying for a ton of cards if you don't fight the urge now.  Just some friendly advice.

Also, your score going up 10 points had nothing to do with you acquiring another card.  Once the card reports and you have another "new account" and your AAoA drops, you'll likely lose those points.  Maybe more.  If you apply for more cards I can assure you your score will only continue to drop.

Re: new to the forum, care to help out with advice?

Yes, thats what I'm saying,!!! chase is a pretty weird company,

As for the citi double cash, I was checking their pre qualifications and I got pre qualified for the
Double cash
Thank you premier
Thank you preferred
Simplicity
Dimond preferred

But I hear that Citi is a bad company when it comes to customer service.

Also blispay denied me,

fidelity is out of my reach at the moment since I would have to open a cash management account with them and I already have a checking account with Cap 360 and my credit union..

What I'm saying is that I'm looking for a daily card or help in picking which one of my cards are good options for a daily everyday spend.

Or maybe a combo ?

Re: new to the forum, care to help out with advice?

Oh no maybe I wrote the Statement wrong, I'm pretty good with my financials, I have not had one missed payment or anything in that matter I don't over spend my limits, I very good in that aspect, I just said wanted to apply but I don't need to,

Hence I said IF I were to apply for one which one will it be..

As for the material, I shop at amazon ALOT, also done out A lot so that would be a good card for me plus the metal finish would be an extra for it.

Amazon visa sounds like your best option based on the info we have.

Just to mention this, Citi has been great to me. And their reps have been excellent to work with for my DC card.

Re: new to the forum, care to help out with advice?

The Blispay denial would make me want to stop for a beat. When you start getting denials, it is a sign that lenders are getting skiddish. Garden for at least 6-9 months, treat your current cards well, and see where you stand around fall-ish.

Which cards should be your daily... Well, I don't really have 1. I use whatever works best for me on that purchase. BCE for gas and groceries. local CU for carrying a balance if needed (low APR). Discover for categories. Normall, QS or CFU for the rest, but that falls on discover now since I'm in my 1st year double period. You have a good range of cards,

Re: new to the forum, care to help out with advice?

Tidegirl, not always... I was denied a venture, went to chase and got a 42k approval, 17k approval and a Citi 14.9k approval.
