don't waste the attempt! it is a soft pull, but wait a few more days so it will count. the info i've read says that if you try to double cl every 60 days it usaully goes through.

OK... I just can't get an AmEx... well, that's not completely true... I have a Citi AmEx and a USAA AmEx... but I want a TRUE AmEx.... GRRRRRRRR... if only they pulled Equifax!

Jennifer - what is your score? I got my initial gold card approved 3 years ago with a 670 and only 1 year of credit history...maybe things have gotten stricter. I also think my income at the time at helped...good luck!!

My EX and TU both have several baddies (4 collections and 2 public records)... I have disputed and fought, and I have tried to call the companies to get them to verify and validate the accounts, but they won't cooperate.  They just want my information.  Like I'm going to give them my correct address, when they tell me that the address they have for the account is NOT my address.  And one of the CRs has an incorrect SSN for me.  But still... no love from TU or EX in helping me get it all straight. I even have a fraud alert on all 3 CRs.  GRRRR..  I might have made a little progress today (pray!!), so that's a good thing.  EQ got it all cleaned up for me.  Gotta love EQ.

My TU and EX scores are in the high 500s... if I could get them cleaned up, they'd be at least 100 points higher.  My EQ, however, is at 733...
