I'm not sure if you can PC to a co-branded card from a non co-branded one.  Anyone know for sure?  I can't say I've read an example of that, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

I did a PC from the CSP --> CS recently with the end goal being the Freedom.  Last week I went from the CS --> Freedom Unlimited, since that was the only option available to me.  I'm hoping I can now go from the FU --> Freedom.  It seems Chase likes to add in a bunch of extra steps, perhaps weeding out many people from doing such PCs.

Nope. Against the rules.

Freedom and Freedom Unlimited are good no fee downgrade options.

That's a great chart!  It does have a few notable omissions, though.  Ritz-Carlton can actually be downgraded to Marriott Rewards or Marriott Rewards Premier.  And you can PC between the Marriott Rewards and Marriott Rewards Premier cards (both personal and business versions).  Most people don't even realize that the lower-AF Marriott cards exist (and you can't app for them anymore, a la the Chase Sapphire card), so it's not surprising that they're not on the flowchart.
