reporting to creditors

Can you request your credit card companies to report to bureaus mid month to reflect changes to your account or do you have to wait until your billing cycle close? I'm trying to apply for a home loan and have recently paid off my cards and was hoping to have the new balances reflected on my report.  I do not want to have to wait until next month to apply for my loan.

Depends on the creditor. Some will, some wont. I'vehad Citi do it, but I practically had to fight them for it. just call and ask.

You can also try the trick involving changing your billing address slightly (e.g. Apt #1 if in a house), and then changing it back the next day.
