No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Tell us a little more about yourself. Are you building new file or are you rocking a derogatories. FICO score etc. How much are you looking to deposit.
Just off the top of my head:
-Applied Bank
-Progress Bank
-NFCU (if you're eligible to join)
-BoA
-Wells Fargo
Wells and BofA with derogatory information will likely result in rejection even for secured card. BofA especially is more of a secured builder card than rebuilder. Thats why I was asking for more detailed info.
Netsfan, I would go with a couple of CUs. First off, see if you local CUs have secured cards. 2nd, I like the SDFCU (state department, not san diego) secured card. I hear you can go up to 100k for that card. I think if you apply over the phone for the card, they don't even pull your credit report. 3 revolving lines to max your fico gain over time. Also, might be worth buying myfico EQ fico score to get real idea where your score is at.
I wouldn't rule out Bank of America completely. I burned them before on two of there cards which one was sold to a CA and I paid a settlement with them. The other was sent to collections which I paid in full. This happened not too long ago and I was approved for a secured card from them this Jan. However, YMMV. Won't really know unless you apply.
The BofA secured card is pretty good about graduating. But not sure if potentially wasted inquiry is worth it.
You could give US Bank a try.

People applying for secured cards are in the figurative basement anyway. Inquiry penalties here are:
1) Less than for those with high FICO's
2) Inquiries are not scaled lineary, 1 vs. 2 inquiries is zero change as an example
3) They fade in a yaar anyway, and people needing secured cards (me for example) are going to be on a 2-3 year journey anyway.
BOFA is one of the best secured products out there, the only one which might be better is NFCU and I'm not sold on that. As a result, I think it's worthwhile to spend the inquiry there, I've been approved for it with a ridiculous tax lien, a prior BOFA card which they closed on me for 30/60 day lates, and an unpaid collection on my report.
