Your payment due date will be static, the same every month.  Your STATEMENT date can vary depending on your billing cycle, but usually will be within a day or so each month.  You should be able to go in to your profile and change your payment due date, if you wish.

CORRECTION:  This from the AMEX website

Can I change my billing due date?

Contact us with your preferred due date by calling the number on the back of your Card. A customer service representative will review your account for eligibility.

Re: stupid amex question

Are the closing date aligning with either a Monday or Friday?  It may be they change the closing date to end on a weekday instead of a weekend.  BTW, no such thing as stupid questions. Smiley Happy

Re: stupid amex question

Due dates wont change unless you request it (or if it happens to fall on a holiday one month)

The statement date changes because your due date with most lenders is usually 21-25 days (varying by lender) after your statement date. Depending on how many days are in the current month, and which day of the week some of these dates fall on, your statement cut date can vary.
