sychrony bank letter

Hi,

I have some cards with sychrony bank. I always pay in full and never have a balance with them.

I am on vacation and today I receive a letter from them with P.O Box 166015. I check on usps informed mail.

I never receive a letter from them with this po box before. Does anyone know what can be or receive before? I will be back in three days.

Re: sychrony bank letter

I have had letters about identity verification, credit limit increases, and/or denials from various P.O. Box addresses from this bank.  I would check my account just to see if you have any changes to your account (credit limit increase or secure message in your account).

I know my friend had two returns payments just errors with transferring funds and their Lowe's card was closed 15K credit limit is gone. You can never tell with Synchrony. I have three two credit cards and Pay Pal Credit and I will not be adding another item from this bank.

As mentioned upthread, you may want to check/login to your account accounts to see whether any changes may have occurred, if anything. Unless, it's a card replacement for an expired card.

Unfortunately, we wouldn't know what SYNCB sent to you just based off the PO Box info or USPS informed delivery.

Unfortunately no one can tell you what the letter is. How would anyone know

Well, in my defense @Jnbmom, Miss Cleo shared some of her clairvoyant powers🔮, but they expired several years ago and got a clairvoyant CLD 😂

In OPs defence, the box number.   It's possible, for example, that Sync Anti-Fraud group always uses box XXX (or always uses XXX in certain states)  And certainly different groups do use different PO boxes

But this relies on something very specific (like fraud investigation) being done out of that PO Box AND people here having a note of such things.   In most other forums, I would assume the latter was impossible, but with the detailed spreadsheets some individuals keep, it would no longer amaze me if there  is a column for the PO Box for each communication received.

And anyway, we get questions like "What SL will I get?" and, IMO, OPs question has about the same chance of a meaningful response!

Could be something mundane like change in terms or privacy notice. Don't lose any sleep.

Re: sychrony bank letter

I check all my credit card accounts and everything looks fine. no locked accounts.

the only thing is that I recently apply for a credit card with them , it went pending ,and they called me and told me that i will receive a letter and I will need to follow the instructions. If for example they send me a SSA-89 form. Do I have to do it or I can choose not to do it and give up on application? ( I am very busy and I will not have time to go to post office)

Ok, it appears this tid bit of info wasn't included in your op.

If it turns out that they need additional information to verify ID, then it could be as simple as providing them with the reference number from the letter plus additional details to confirm that it's you that applied.

With that said, if they request some documentation you can choose not to comply and let it be unless they can provide you with a method to scan any required docs and upload them while you are on the phone with an agent.

Yes appears this should have been mentioned as I am sure that is what it is .
