wallaby app ?

Hi, is the wallaby app safe ? It gives you recommendations for which cards to use but it requires your credit card info. Just curious if anyone has any experience using this app..

Re: wallaby app ?

I use it and haven't had any concerns thus far.  Sometimes, I wonder why they advise to use a particular card over say BCE as the % (via supermarkets) seems to be better but you also have the option of disabling that suggestion option

Re: wallaby app ?

I thought someone on here recommended it. What kind of info is it asking? Like if its just the card and no numbers i would think its safe. Like is it only asking what cards you have?

Its asks you to enter your user name and password so they link your acct.  To me its like Mint or Moneydesktop (IMO) as far as why they're requesting it, they can see what you spend and recommend cc for you. or to categorize spending for a particular card.

Re: wallaby app ?

'twas I!

It's safe. But again, only ever tells me to use my citi card or my Capital one, so I have no idea how accurate it is. I'm waiting for octtober to see if it tells me any different (Freedom and Discover have online shopping this quarter and I do a lot of online shopping)

I use the app and do not provide numbers.

I just tell it which cards I have. It recommends me which CC to use at a store based on category and bonus info.

It won't know if I've spent more than my bonus caps, but I'm okay with that.
