On phone so I can't edit, but just as a data point, the only lender who has denied me for too much available credit was PenFed and I got that easily reconned since I offered them a $15k balance transfer. Thanks man good info in your posts! Yea the offers page.
Dammit I lost my long post I typed out, but basically was seeing if you apped for any biggies after CSP UNLESS CSP was an early card then it would change the variables reading these issuers.
No problem. I have had so much help on these forums the past 16 months, I am happy to give back when I can!
I may not have read your question correctly, but I just got my CSP on New Years Eve (got my 50,000 UR bonus this week!). The only new card since then is my AmEx SPG (which was an instant approval), and a few CLIs that required HPs but were well worth it. In the 13 months prior to applying, I closed about a dozen cards and added another BOA, a Citi, a BJ's, a Discover, a NASA FCU, a Pentagon FCU, and a Lowe's. That's in addition to refinancing my mortgage, refinancing my student loans, refinancing one of our cars, and taking out 2 other loans.
Yea you read that right thanks again. Using a lousy tablet right now as my laptop is on the fritz THUS CSP lol. I already got my bonus spend all lined up. I'm getting ahead of myself (always concerned about these creditors taking away) but I figure 1-2 weeks to get the card then only about 75 days or so to meet the bonus spend THEN Chase deposits bonus following statement close .. Yes?
These forums are terrific!
I just looked at my statements. I applied on a holiday weekend, and it looks like I still got my card in a week. You can always call Chase after applying and they will overnight it to you. My first statement period was short (Jan 1-17), but on my March 17th statement they did give me the bonus points. They're available to use as soon as the statement closes - either 1 cent for cash/gift cards or 1.25 cents for travel redemption through Chase.
