@SloedoughMy QS (then a QS1) was at $1,500 for a long time, almost a year. Then the next CLI they pumped me to $3,200. Maybe they reviewed the account and "Changed the Bucket".
Or, perhaps your account was never in a starter bucket to begin with.
What did your file look like and what was your FICO score at the time of approval for the account?
I would say the more likely thing that happened was that your Platinum was a starter account, but your other CO account wasn't. When you combined your limits, you moved your starter limit to your non-starter account, thus eliminating the starter account from the equation.
From my own experience I had a CapOne platinum back in the day. Circa 08 somewhere. Little itty bitty SL of $300 and an AF of $39. Was my second card ever. Got an increase to $500 but not sure if it was auto or I asked for it. Always put the UTIL up to 75% and then PIF. Had the card for almost a year when I decided to app for another CapOne in 09. Was approved for a miles card of somesort. Can't even remember what it was called. LOL! SL on that card was 10k! Used both cards. Once a month maybe and for no real intention of anything but trying to build up my file a bit seeing as how at that time I only had 3 cards. CapOne called me about 4 years in maybe? Asked if I wanted to do a PC seeing as how I never used miles. Did a product change on the miles card to a QS. At some point I lost track of the limit on the platinum card. It ended up being 1.3k. Seeing as how it is 2018, it took that card almost 10 years to get to that amount. I ended up combining that balance with my QS bringing me to 11.3k and closing the card. As stated, it reports for up to 10 years. I then PC'd my QS to the Savor right before the introduction of the SavorOne---grandfathering me in for the 4% with no AF. I ask for an increase every 6 months. Last in September. I now sit at 12.3k.

Awesome, hopefully my limit will have increased tremendously by this time next year.
Fingers crossed.

My scores were in the 620 - 640 range, I had 5 paid collections, 2 judgements an old charge off from First Premier, and the QS1 was my first card in like 5 years. I was definatally a risk for them. They helped me rebuild my credit. Of course now I have no baddies and a solid profile. Thanks to Cap1.
I just started my rebuild effort and got a plat cap1 this is useful info.
